The UP State Office of the Confederation of Indian Industry along with the Indian Green Building Council Lucknow chapter organised the Cleantech Summit 2015, to discuss sustainable clean solutions and promote enhanced use of green and clean energy as a way forward.
While envisaging a holistic vision to promote clean energy, due importance was also laid on clean energy harvesting with active involvement of key stakeholders. Developed nations have already shifted from the traditional means of energy production to the greener modes and it’s the high time where we too must work out the modalities to give a smooth shift to alternative eco-friendly means of energy.
With the above approach a panel discussion was held among various stakeholder on solar energy as a means of potential source of alternate energy and the way forward.
Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC), Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Development Agency (UPNEDA) and Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) were some of the key participants of the summit.
Mr Yasir Shah, Hon’ble Minister of State for Energy, graced the summit as Chief Guest and Mr Desh Deepak Verma, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission as Guest of Honour.
The impact number was more than 400.
