Special Plenary with Dr S Jaishankar, Hon’ble Minister for External Affairs, Government of India

India is carving out an influential role for itself in the global commons, one that is based on securing its own development as also on growing its strategic footprint. The cornerstones of the foreign policy that India has shaped are beyond non-alignment to embrace the expanding dimensions of global preoccupations that defy borders. Some of the new areas that India is taking up as part of its overall foreign policy include climate change, regional infrastructure development, mobility, renewable energy, healthcare and partnerships for critical technologies. India is creating new partnerships and reshaping existing ones in a world that is constantly changing.

This session will deliberate on the contours of India’s dynamic foreign policy and how does it support industry’s overseas engagement? How is India dealing with a global environment of constant flux and what are the partnerships that will serve it well as it looks for rapid growth and development?
