The film traces the evolution of CII from its inception in 1895 as the Engineering & Iron Trades Association (EITA) to its formation in 1992 as CII and its present role as the “Voice of Indian Industry.” 

Besides the membership profile and mention of the manufacturing, infrastructure, services and agri sectors, CII’s service portfolio is also presented. Four pillars which form the cornerstone of CII’s overarching work under four themes, covering, Policy Advocacy, International & Business Development Services, Competitive Solutions and Connecting with Society are presented.    

CII’s continuing role of navigating industry through an era of economic liberalization and globalization is highlighted. In addition, CII engagements, serving as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community, is succinctly depicted.
