In an endeavour to resolve the issue of crop residue burning and promote sustainable farming practices, CII adopted a holistic approach to understand and research on the issue and undertake a pilot project in Ludhiana and Patiala districts in Punjab. Leveraging partnerships and engaging with various stakeholders, CII created an enabling platform to bring about transformation in the intervened 19 villages, where over 80% farmers adopted alternate tools and technologies to manage stubble.
