The 15th edition of IREE 2023 – International Railway Equipment Exhibition - jointly presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Ministry of Railways, Government of India, is one of the Flagship events of CII, being held biennially at New Delhi. IREE 2023, scheduled from 12 to 14 October 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, has received tremendous support from all stakeholders, and the event is expected to make a lasting impact by participation of key stakeholders from industry and Indian Railways.
Over 300 exhibitors from 11 countries with Country Pavilions from Germany, Japan, Russia, and UK will showcase latest technologies and services, covering an exhibition area of around 30,000 sqmtrs spread in five halls (Halls 2 to 5) at the New Exhibition Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Indian Railways (IR) is putting up the largest ever IR Pavilion, showcasing India’s strengths, capabilities in this sector, and future requirements of IR for its expansion and modernization plans.
IREE – the only international exhibition and conference, in partnership with Indian Railways, for the rail transportation sector in India, will feature concurrent international conference, B2B Meetings and buyer seller meets. This is a once in two years opportunity to get updated with technological advancements in Rail Transportation Sector, network with stakeholders, and knowledge sharing under a single platform.
IREE provides the Best Platform for this sector to interact and network with stakeholders for future businesses in India, with the large number of senior officials from Indian Railways, the Metro & Light Rail Sector, the Global Business Community, and Media, that are present during the three days event under one roof.
The IREE – 33-year Legacy - first IREE was held in the year 1990 in Kolkata with 55 exhibitors and the second again in Kolkata in 1994. To foster greater international involvement and to provide a larger platform for Railway Board Officials, IREE found its new home in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, since 1997. This shift marked a pivotal moment in the exhibition’s journey. IREE became biennial from 2003 and is currently in its 15th edition.
IR puts up the largest ever Pavilion (comprising of Production Units, Regional & Zonal Railways, Indian Railway PSUs and the National Railway Museum), showcasing the strength and future requirements of IR. This provides the best opportunity for industry to meet and interact with select senior officials from Indian Railways and its Technical and R&D segments, to understand its future requirements and modalities of becoming vendors / suppliers to Indian Railways.
International Rail Conference (IRC 2023), a regular feature at IREE, attracts participation of key stakeholders from Industry & Government, and experts of Indian Railways and global Industry, as speakers. IRC is attended by around 400 delegates over two days. This is the ideal forum to get updated and network with experts on the latest technologies and product developments. With the theme “Innovation and Technology – Changing the Future of Railway”, the IRC 2023 will cover sessions on Railway Infrastructure; Make in India; Net Zero; Digital Transformation; Urban Rail Transit System; Mission 3000; and Safer and Efficient Railway Systems, over the two days. Eminent speakers and experts of the rail transportation sector from India and overseas will address the IRC 2023. Over 350 delegates have already registered to attend IRC 2023.
Large number of senior officials from Indian Railways and Global Business Community from the rail transportation sector is expected to attend the three-day event in Delhi.
