"Innovation" continues to be the buzz word which every corporate is trying to decipher and internalize. In the current dynamic and volatile times, success in the marketplace is often a matter of ‘to innovate or die.’
The major challenges of innovation remains funding, more incubation centers to cater to new entrepreneurs and to create a collaborative approach between industry, academia and government to have more IP through R&D. This would lead to more ‘valuable’ ideas. It is time that the thought leaders come together to draw up a plan of action to propagate the innovation culture in their organizations. This process will culminate in converting new ideas into reality, adding value to goods, services and business models to enhance economic growth.
Against this backdrop, the CII report on ‘Innovation 2015’ focuses on the present Innovation Ecosystem in the country. The publication was released at the conference on ‘Innovation 2015: Today & Tomorrow’ organized by CII on 22 January, 2015 at Kolkata.
