In
2013, the CII-MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) ASHE report was
prepared by Deloitte. This second edition of ASHE report (the first edition
came out in 2012), in addition to giving a snapshot of each state from a higher
education perspective, has a specific focus on the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha
Abhiyan (RUSA) or the National Higher Education Mission which is a new scheme
for direct funding of state governments for higher education from the Ministry
of Human Resource Development. ASHE 2013 also examines the corporate social
responsibility (CSR) angle in the context of higher education.
