This CII Study on “Enhancing India-Pakistan Economic Cooperation: Current Status & Future Prospects” identifies the area of economic cooperation between the two countries. India and Pakistan are the two largest economies of South Asia, having GDP of US$ 1727 billion and US$ 177 billion respectively, in 2010. During the last decade, both India and Pakistan have succeeded in more than doubling their per capita incomes. If India and Pakistan work together on allowing greater bilateral trade and investment it would not only benefit both the countries, but also benefit the entire South Asia region by creating more economic opportunities along with poverty reduction.
