Myanmar occupies a critical geo-strategic position in world affairs. It is the meeting point of South Asia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. As Myanmar lies between India and China, with long land borders with both countries, it assumes critical importance to India in the realm of politico-economic relations. Relations between India and Myanmar have been growing during the past few years with cooperation in all sectors, particularly in those of trade and commerce.
