Bahrain and India are seeking economic engagement with Indian and overseas investors in order to move into the next stage of economic growth. There are several opportunities for foreign direct and capital market investments. While Bahrain’s Vision 2030 has identified certain areas of investments, India has many potential and existing growth sectors with ample scope for investments.
The publication on ‘Opportunities for Economic Engagement for Indian Diaspora in Bahrain’ is an endeavour of the Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC) to enable prospective inward investments in India by providing information and liaison support to new and existing investor who may be interested in setting up new ventures in India or investing through other indirect modes.
The OIFC was set up by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs’ (MOIA) in 2007, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and provides facilitation services to the Overseas Indians, especially assisting them in deepening their economic and intellectual engagement with India.
The publication was released against the backdrop of the OIFC Diaspora Engagement Meet held at Bahrain on 6 September, 2014.
