China is pumping in significant amounts of financing and investment in India’s immediate neighbourhood, including in countries which have been traditionally strong partners for India – Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar in particular. CII Research’s latest report examines the kind of financing projects undertaken in these three nations, while also looking at the ways in which India could ramp up its own financial engagement through existing mechanisms available with the Export Import Bank of India and the Export Credit Guarantee Scheme (ECGC) as well as some suggested new avenues.
