CII in association with its Knowledge Partner KPMG released a report on “Catalyzing Reforms in Higher Education” against the backdrop of the “Edu Summit 2013” organised by CII on 29 May, 2013 at Chandigarh.
Approximately 33.4 million students from north India are expected to join higher education by 2016. To accommodate this growing number of college-ready students, there has to be a sustained and focused approach in augmenting physical infrastructure and resources in higher education in north Indian states. While there is a need to create new institutes of higher education, it is also imperative to upgrade the existing ones to enhance quality of education being imparted.
